12 Weeks of Gorgeous

12 Weeks of Gorgeous

Today I’m featuring a lovely girl from Aurora, Illinois, a clothing designer and young mother of three, Nicole Kronenburger (Nannnetti).

  1. What does beauty mean to you? Beauty is something you feel through and through. You can be beautiful on the outside but be hurting on the inside. When you feel beautiful and confident, it radiates through you and to other people. I was lucky that I was raised by a very confident mother. I’ve seen others who aren’t so lucky and though I see their beauty, they don’t. I feel so bad that they can’t feel comfortable or confident in their own skin. I always want to make them feel better about themselves because everyone deserves it.
  2. When do you feel the most beautiful? I feel the most beautiful when I’m healthy and happy.
  3. What does being a woman mean to you? I go back and forth about this one. Oftentimes to be a woman means emotional, weak, and naggy. I don’t think woman are weak at all, we are given the ability to care unconditionally for our children, family, and friends. We give birth, our bodies go through the most change, we are under the most scrutiny, it’s harder for us to get promotions, get respect, and we are often taken for granted. Somehow we can pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off and start over everyday. We are amazing!
  4. What do you love the most about yourself? I love my positivity. I’m always optimistic and happy. I make the choice to be happy everyday and I love that about myself.
  5. Tell me your story. I am 28 years old. I grew up in a family that was all about living life with friends and family and valuing experience over material things. We didn’t always have everything we wanted, sometimes we only had one car or a small house but we were always hosting friends and family in our tiny house and had a great time. I grew up with one sister. I went to school in Naperville and then I went to Michigan State University and transferred to John Cabot University in Rome, Italy. It was there that I found out I was pregnant with my first son when I was 20 years old. I came home and married my high school crush and we went back to school together with our son at Illinois State University. I graduated with an Accounting degree. I had two more children and I currently work for Marriott Hotels while designing and tailoring clothing on the side. I’ve always had a passion for making woman feel beautiful. I love how the perfect outfit can completely change how a person feels. I’ve been designing and sewing since I was 17. I wish someday to do it full time. I also like to play guitar in my spare time and recently started creating and selling board games with my sister.
  6. What do you think was the biggest turning point in your life? Having my son at 20 years old, it gave my life direction and purpose.
  7. Tell me about a goal you’re working on. I’m working on starting my own clothing line and business. I have a website with customizable clothing and gifts for every shape and body type. I have also started making board games with my sister in hopes to one day sell more of those.
  8. What is your goal with this photography session? I am always the one taking pictures. I am not often the one in pictures. I want my children to be able to have nice pictures of me to look back on when I’m gone. I want them to remember me as their beautiful, fun mom.
