After Military History Fest

After Military History Fest

I learned a lot over the weekend, and captured many beautiful images. I learned that the reenactment community includes far more than men playing war games. They are living historians. (That’s the first time I’ve ever heard that term.)

Women are involved, too, playing period characters in period dress. They are wives and nurses and girlfriends. At one point, I saw two couples with their children also in period dress, they’re also moms.

On Saturday, a Costume Guild was serving lunch and the ladies were dressed up like the USO. Cute idea!

The gallery for purchasing the images I took over the weekend is here.

I hope to keep in touch, learn more, and find more opportunities to photograph these amazing people.
