Crazy light is crazy

Lately I’ve been experimenting with high dynamic range (HDR) and working with Intensify Pro and Aurora HDR, both by Macphun. I’m very happy with the moody painting-like images I’ve been creating with bracketed images of different exposures. The depth and detail of these images as well as the beautiful dramatic almost renaissance-looking light are captivating to me. But that’s just my opinion.

In other news, I’m getting ready to do some headshots, and reaching out to people in my community to see how I can help out. Paul Pruitt’s headshots workshop has been an enormous help as I’m getting myself organized for the new year.

In the meantime, I’m going to keep shooting, and I’m busy with a few courses, such as Lisa Edwards’ course on Tweens. This course has touched me in a number of different ways, because of my own experience as a tween girl. For some reason those few years between 10-12 seem very long, and are almost like lost years for many children, both girls and boys. Looking through family photos, it looks like an awkward phase, where my teeth were too big for my face, and my hair looked unkempt from jumping in piles of leaves and other fun things I was doing outside at that age.

The way is clear.

The way is clear.
